Some years ago, Amy and I began Church shopping. I was tired of watching people complain about their taxes, bake each other brownies, talk about their guns and express their intolerance of inclusion and diversity.  Frankly I got tired of saying to myself, “I really like to go to church except for the…”

Contemporary Conservative American Christianity is nothing more than an apology and rationalization for our wealth, our arrogance. our societal intolerance and lack of compassion.  It justifies racial intolerance, economic disparity, and gender preference discrimination.  And just for fun, it tells us that it’s God’s will. Frankly, I grew appalled. I did not find it to be my beliefs. Rather, I found it to be an affront to my beliefs.  Long story short, I wanted out.

We started Church shopping, looked at several.  Then we found Trinity and we were home.  We came in August, and simply stated, we found Love. Caring, compassionate, well-intentioned people, solid beliefs founded on true Christian principles in a community that I could believe in and belong to.

I am home now, gone are the bad old days.  I believe that Christianity should be founded on discovering who you are, what you stand for and living out Christian principles daily.  I am surrounded by friends that I know, like and trust. Warm, genuine caring, authentic people.  To say that Amy and I are grateful does not adequately express how we feel about Trinity.  We love our church; we love our community.

If you are with us, thank you for being here, if you are considering joining us in worship, I hope you find your home too.

Blessings,
