Hello, my friends!

Wow, what a month this has been! Through our concert series starting March 1st to the last Wednesday concert March 29th, we experienced five different types of music; all unique and life giving in different ways. My hope is that you were able to find time to come have a moment and celebrate life and music each Wednesday- that these times provided some sort of respite and healing in your journey, and that maybe, you found a new type of music to dig into more.

It takes a whole village, including Grace, our Asst. Director of Music and the Arts, who was able to make many connections to the performers themselves, like Will Schneider, TSA’s Glass City Steel, and Jeff Stewart. She also was instrumental in handling multiple administrative aspects, like collecting bios and helping with social Media. Heather, our Director of Operations, was also amazing, helping to keep all of us on the same page, dotting I’s and crossing T’s, social media, and helping with tear downs, set ups and lights. George, Director of Community Engagement provided much preconcert support. Bradley and Melissa, Trinity Section Leaders, came together to do the programming of the last concert, and included our wonderful choir in two fabulous group numbers. Brian coming down to be in person And Lisa, of course, who values the love and life-giving joy of music, and continues to honor that love and commitment through actions of inclusion in music variety, seeing the goodness in music that spans across barriers of genre and social ideals to bravely ask “what is church music, really?”

I find myself this morning filled to the brim with gratitude. It is an honor to serve in this place. To work with these people. To be inspired most days to do better, be better, and continue to strive for love in the form of music.

Keep singing,

Chelsie
